Dear readers,
I’ve been writing here every day for a month, and have taken you through 43 years of my best work, more or less in chronological order, that I did on film.
I still only have two subscribers. I’m not going to be posting every day anymore.
If you want to see more, please re-share the stuff you like on the social media of your choice, and subscribe. We photogs have an emotional need for people to see our stuff. My main metrics will be the number of subscribers I get, and the average number of views.
If this substack organically grows, I’ll add more content. But I’m not going to push very hard to make it grow; it will happen naturally or it won’t happen.
Here is a shot of that new kitty I mentioned in the last post. This is the first picture I ever took of her, peeking out from her hiding place behind the couch. What a sweet, sweet kitty. We had so many good years together.
I hope to be writing more soon, but not every day.
Hey, hey..., don't go away..., but not posting every day makes sense, at least on my end. That is mainly because I don;t have time to read them all in the manner in which they should be read, slowly and of course with a more than casual glance at the featured photographs.. I am so pressed for time these days due to work and other obligations that I don't always have the luxury of drinking my coffee and taking in the internet content I enjoy. There are a few other writers/journalists that I follow and don't have enough time for until I can sit down, like now at 05:00 A.M. when all is quiet, then and I can devour the things people are saying.. It isn't easy to get noticed in the oceans of talent, perseverance and outreach is what seems to garner the attention you seek.
I hope you continue to write and share the photography, I look forward to it. I write and post my stuff because I found out, much too late in life, that I love what I am able to create with wood and writing appeals to me more than I ever could have imagined, its a great outlet. Am I good enough to capture an audience? I don't know, time will tell. I share some of your work, but I don't want to be the person who is constantly bombarding folks with 'shares' as people turn off the spigot but quick when one does that.
Again, I hope you find the inspiration to continue writing, although the photo tech stuff means less than nothing to me personally,, the stories are great. "Bridezilla" was a fun read.
