I want to go to Arches NOW! How I would love to explore these areas, and I'm not the 'hiking type' but I would be so compelled to see what these features are like up close that I would make every exception I could muster. This post is a huge payoff to the suspense building on this trip. Great story, great photos and your 'bread crumbs' in the narrative keep me wanting more. This is a real treat, Ken, thank you for posting all this.
Dave, any time you want to go, I'll fire up the motorhome. All it takes is money...
There is so much to see and do in Moab; Arches is only one of the national parks there. We could spend a week. I spent months there one year, and have still seen only a little bit of the place.
Heck, I would love to go just for the weather! I love the desert, that is until June through August, I'm not as robust a physical specimen as I was 10 years ago.
But if all we need is money, why don't we play the game called the "Federal Reserve's Accounting Ultimate Deception" and just make it ourselves? To play F.R.A.U.D., all we do is fire up that high-res printer and drop a few large in each small town we pass through thus stimulating their local economies! I see this as a win for everybody, and if we contribute to inflation, according to P.O.T.U.S., that's a good thing!
Check the oil and tire pressure and lets go, we can drive all the way to Mexico and grow avocado's, I mean, what could go wrong?
