Regarding your comments about how you changed the color intensity before going to monochrome; you managed to explain a lot as to why I so lacking in photographic skills - my color perception is awful. I've flunked several color tests for occupations and for driving (yes, I can still see red, green and amber) but until now, It never occurred to me that, my primitive captures aside, I can not discern color subtleties. I leave it to Kathie to tell me what color my shirts are. xD
These are great compositions! I actually love the earlier shot through the gate. The framing is so bold!! Your final image is exceptional. I was seeing the crosses pop as you described how you highlighted this in processing. And I really like the texture of the trees contrasts with the smoothness of the building. Great work!
